Oolite 1.75.1 Beta is released
The Oolite beta release 1.75.1 update is now available to download from Oolite.org. One of the new Oolite features see a built-in ‘Check for update’ for Mac users, which is the trend of game updates, it will auto prompt too when it detects and update is available. Oolite 1.75.1 beta has various cosmetic changes and bug fixes, seeing improvements on the fast docking option, game pad and joysticks, more accurate Thargoids, improved artificial intelligence for attacking ships. There’s also a significant overhaul of the javascript an in game play.
Oolite 1.75.1 beta release uses SpiderMonkey from FireFox 4.0 release candidate 1 and removes all temporary compatibility code. SpiderMonkey from Mozilla is its C implementation of JavaScript and codenamed SpiderMonkey. The should mean the next stable release requires to changes to the javascript.
