The all new Commodore 64 available now

The all new Commodore 64 available now and for those who say it won’t be the same, its got a beige body design, keyboard and is currently on sale a £364 ($595) and looks the identical to the original. The company has seen many changes over the years and wish the C64 good luck. The Commodore 64 (C64) made it to the top of the home computers back in the 1980s with a series of state of the art games the pushed its 8 bit 64k memory to the limit. The original computer will itself will be best remembered its tape loading mechanism, though some of us did move onto floppy disk, improved the waiting time dramatically. The Commodore 64, C64, is looking to make a comeback this summer and not as a classic original but with a 1.8ghz dual-core Intel Atom D525 processor, Nvidia Ion 2 graphics chipset, 2 GB of DDR3 memory and your choice of a DVD or Blu-ray drive. This revamp will bring in right up to date with HDMI and USB connections and will ship with Linux installed with the facility for users to install WIndows 7. Commodore will eventually release its own Commodore OS 1.0, complete with an emulator to play classic C64 titles.

Which games to do you think will be the first to port to the new machine. I’m afraid mine will be Elite or Gunship, post yours here.
